To encrypt your PhP files wich contain your most important information inside, the best is to use advanced software specially deboted for this task....
This cain of programs are, till today as far as I know, really expensive for all the users like me, that, need to protect some specific files, time to time, and not always.
There is no doubt that the most known of them are, commercially talking, ionCubePHP Encoder y sourceguardian but, personately I prefer to recommend you because its excelent compatibility and, of course, beceause the have offered to all of us their free online service, named "Free Online PHP Encoder" at Byterun Software .
The encryption security level obtained with the commented free online service from Byterun is not compleatly secure but, will help me a lot with the target of this article and with no problems (we strongly recommend to all users that need a High encryption security level to consider to buy their commercial version accordingly to the PhP version in use, but take care! because the right version that supports PhP5 is the most expensive!).
Process:
Open inside your advanced text editor, we recommend Notepad++ that works correctly and It is Open Source, the file "configuration.php" from your Joomla! compilation inside your Joomla's2Go!
Go to Free Online PHP Encoder and ask for your ID valid for 30 minuts, using your email address (take care!, because should only accept .com email address (Ex. @gmail.com will work but, as @yahoo.es may be not).
Check your mail box and get your ID, copy it and paste it inside the field "Please enter LOGIN ID" of their website and "clic" on "Enter", copy the content of your "configuration.php" file and pase it, to be encoded.
Copy and paste the encoded result inside a new file of your Notepad++ and save it with the name "configuration.php"
Save a copy of your original "configuration.php" file before to replace it with the new "configuration.php" already encrypted.
