Server2Go is a project from Timo Haberkern of a local Standalone Web Server, that runs in your PC over Windows XP, Vista and 7 based on WAMPP, that works out of the box in Windows:
From your Hard Disk, from a Portable USB disk or even from a CD or DVD.  Use the JOOMLAS2GO! 2.0 CD-Configurator.exe file to automatically reconfig. your project to work from a non writable environment.

 

For all the cases that the security of the data, inside your MySQL data base, should be indispensable (Ex. If you plan to distribute your work, your "Portfolio" or "Demos" in a CD-ROM , Server2Go has created an special application that will allow you to asign your own "User" and "Paswword" named "Server2GoConfigurator" that you can get under "Donation Gold Level" from the Server2Go Website.
We strongly recommend you to implement the maximun security on your Web developments,: accordingly , to encrypt your MySQL DB with your own User and Password is considered of vital importance.
